Presentation: Spokane Regional Auto Theft Task Force
We will hear about a project that has been in progress for several years, the creation of the Spokane Regional Auto Theft Task Force. We will hear about its creation, its funding through grant monies, and their acquisition of Automated License Plate Readers.
Presenter: Sargent Keith Cummings, Spokane Police Investigations
Sargent Cummings is a 26 year veteran of law enforcement with 7 yrs with the Stevens County Sheriff’s Department and the past 19yrs with SPD.
His law enforcement experience includes K-9 handler, lead pursuit driving instructor, 3 yrs as a detective, academy instructor, original supervisor for our School Resource Officer program, 4yrs in narcotics as a supervisor, 1 yr in crimes analysis as a supervisor, and the past 3 yrs as supervisor for Targeted Crimes and Fraud unit. Has successfully written grants for SPD totaling over $1.2 million
