Inland Northwest PMI
Program Committee
The Challenge
Our PMI chapter has a challenge to find and recruit a new presenter or tour for each of our regular meetings. We also want to provide opportunities for our members to earn PDUs without the commitment of becoming a board member. So we’ve decided to combine these challenges and create a program committee. In concept, we'll have 5 to 9 members who would take turns setting up the programs for chapter meetings.
Participation on a committee for a year is category 5B, which is worth 5 PDUs. This translates to taking responsibility for from 1 to 3 programs in the span of a year.
The Duties
The responsibility of members of the Program Committee will be to:
1. Select program topics
2. Locate a qualified speaker for the selected topic
3. Ensure that the speaker has the information and equipment necessary to present the program
4. Make sure the speaker is ready
5. Provide for a thank-you gift for the speaker to be presented at the end of the program. Cost of the gift will be paid by the chapter.
The Commitment
Each committee member will be responsible for arranging a minimum of one and a maximum of 3 programs in the Chapter’s programming year depending on how many are on the committee.
The program committee member will work under the supervision and assistance of the VP Programs.
The Call to Action
Contact Warren Carpenter vpprograms@pmiinw.org or Dave Lennstron president@pmiinw.org if you wish to help form the committee, contribute your ideas, or volunteer to serve.

It may take a few weeks to get started, but Roxanne has volunteered to write up notes from the regular Chapter meetings, and they should start appearing here soon as blog entries. Cheryl will also be providing summary notes from the Board meetings. We plan to post those summaries here, also, in order to let you folks in the Chapter know what your Board is up to. Mostly focusing on how we can enhance your Chapter membership to deliver more value to you, the members. We encourage you to talk to the Board members directly when convenient, and/or write us using the "Contact" link above. |
